I'm having a lot of gnome-session problems.
I get the Windows 95 look if anything at all.
Are you guys installing from the Gnome3 PPA?
sudo apt-get install network-manager-gnome
I notice it looks like the Adwaita theme isn't working for you.
Hmmm I don't see it in /usr/share/themes/ on my box either (I'm also using a jhbuild of Shell).
Here, I attached a build of the theme. You should be able to just extract the Adwaita folder to ~/.themes/

A good simple strategy if you see problems is to:
It will give you options instead of making decisions for you. You can see what packages are possibly going to removed and why. You can then (after deciding yes or no) work on fixing the discrepancy.Code:sudo aptitude dist-upgrade
Any time it tries to do something wicked like remove gnome-session, don't upgrade quite yet unless you can get aptitude to give you a better option.
If you're going to be using an (still unfortunately) experimental PPA on top of an experimental release it's a good idea to get used to having terminal/package-manager fun!
Cheers Mblackwell ......
I seem to be sorted now ... for Gnome Session ...... ty .......
You're welcome. I edited my post btw with a recentish copy of the Adwaita theme for those it doesn't seem to be working for.
Also make sure you have the packages gnome-themes, gnome-themes-standard, gnome-icon-theme, and gnome-icon-theme-symbolic.
