Best way to access ext4 (etc.) from windows 7

I just got a *new* computer (way excited, but I digress…)

I want to dual-boot Windows 7 (I have my reasons), but I want to use ext3/ext4 for most of my data. So I went looking for options to read ext3/ext4 from Windows.

Some of the things I found:

    http://www.fs-driver.org/index.html
    http://www.robertbeal.com/528/mount-...-windows-7-x64
    http://ext2fsd.sourceforge.net/projects/projects.htm
    http://www.ext2fsd.com/
    http://www.ext2fsd.com/?page_id=7
    http://www.soluvas.com/read-browse-e...rom-windows-7/
    http://superuser.com/questions/37512...-windows-exist

(for the record, I did Google 'site:ubuntuforums.org read linux windows 7' and a few similar things)

I'm curious what other people with this issue have done. Did you use one of the methods I found? what worked, and what didn't?
    Any recommendations?

I made a NFTS partition so that both could use it.
