NVIDIA GT430 Issue

My friend and I both changed over to Ubuntu quite recently as we're over Windows and have grown quite used to Linux over the years.

After installation of Ubuntu 10.10 we installed NVIDIA's proprietary driver using the Additional Drivers tool.

The cursor lagged quite badly and I found that the driver installed through the Additional Drivers tool(260.19.06) didn't support the GeForce GT430. We removed the drivers then downloaded and installed 260.19.44 proprietary driver with no improvement.

Athlon 64 3200+
1.5GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT430
Ubuntu 10.10 64bit

Please help us solve this problem. Thanks in advance.

I think you should u the newest version (Nvidia-Linux-x86-280.13.run).
