    deb command

Hello, I have ubuntu installed in my computer, and I would like to use ubuntu backports, but when I enter the deb command, it says that it doesn't exist. How do I install this command?

There is no command called "deb". If you want to use the backports, you use apt-get. Please read the manual. www.ubuntuguide.org

Its the line in /etc/apt/sources.list not something you type in a terminal.
