At the time of this posting 73 users have looked at this thread but only 9 have taken the trouble to take a closer look at the thumbnail.

I'm very fond of blue so I'm never going to like your choice of colours. The background looks like a low resolution image blown up to wallpaper size. The contrast between the colours is wrong. I think that as a starting point the Ubuntu logo should have been Canonical's shade of orange.

Perhaps the next version should have different colours and contrasts and a redesigned background?

It's good for a first, but stripes and dots are not easy on the eyes when they cover the entire desktop--for me anyways. Especially with strong colors. Make it soothing.

Don't let negative comments discourage you and keep up the good work. It's not my syle or color for a wallpaper but I don't want to critisize your work. I might really like your next wallpaper. Don't want to underestimate you but the choice of colors are not so good. You should give a professional look. Keep improving yourself. It's your first attempt, so keep going. Negative comments are meant to improve you, keep them as advice and positive comments are meant to motivate you. Good luck.
