Network Manager DNS Issue (This is a new one)

    Hi,

I have already read all the threads with similar title in here but my problem is slightly different.

I have configured my dsl connection using network manager.

The options "available to all users" & "connect automatically" are selected & therefore it automatically connects when I login to my Xubuntu account.

The problem is when I try to open a page it says "server not found".

ping to any website prints "unknown host".

ifconfig shows ppp0 & therefore I can be sure of the fact that the dsl connection has been established.

I just disconnect & reconnect the dsl connection & then everything works fine.

This happens every time I login to Xubuntu.

I am using static dns (google dns)

    OS : Xubuntu 10.04 32 Bit

    Please reply.
