    Strange print with red eyes

    Hi,

I'm trying to print a photo ; scan is OK, but printer add red eyes and hair, as you can see here :

I use maverick, a hp photosmard C5180 and different free softwares to print (gimp, okular...). Can you help me, or do you know who can help me ?

    Thanks you !

    Best regards,
    Thibaud.

This is just a guess but I think that you need to match the colour settings on the printer with the colour settings in the image program and perhaps the scanner program. How you do that I do not know. But I do know that a monitor uses a different method to display colours than a printer does. The monitor is emitting light. The printed image is absorbing and reflecting light. The two methods use different colour combinations to produce the colours we see.

    Regards.
It is a machine. It is more stupid than we are. It will not stop us from doing stupid things.
