Vlc - settings not staying 'set'

I had a blue-hue issue with VLC and Totem.

I re-set the hue on VLC. Everything looks fine. Unfortunately, when I restart VLC it goes back to the blue-hue.

How do I get VLC to retain the hue?

    Cheers.

Dumb question...have you saved the settings after tweaks via the preferences GUI? And then restarted VLC? It took me awhile to figure that out...

    Good news - that worked.

To change/keep settings -- you have to

    1) Change the "Extended settings" (see screen shot 1)
*extended settings button is just to the right of the file title cops.avi

    2) Go into preferences (see screen shot 2)
    and hit the 'save' button.

I think the UI could use some improvement.

Thank you very much for the fix Xigen! I'm still very new to Ubuntu and I'm getting a little upset about how much more work this is. Done get me wrong, Love Ubuntu its just hard knowing how much I need to learn. I never thought simply watching a movie would be this hard! lol
