HI All,

I have a new hp dm4t with Ubuntu 10.10 installed as a dual boot with Windows 7.
I'm almost completely happy with ubuntu running on this HP except for a few problems:

1. Hibernate works sometimes. Sometimes it won't come back and I'm forced to cycle the power. It's enough of an annoyance that I just disable the hibernate.

2. The touchpad doesn't work. I've tried various changes / workarounds that I've seen her on the forum, but nothing has helped. I finally just disabled the damn thing because it was too annoying, got myself a wireless mouse and off I go. Still, this is going to be inconvenient at times.

Does anyone know if fixes for these issues are in the works? I'm wondering if the upcoming release of 11.04 will help, or if these will continue to be annoyances.

If I'd known about the touchpad issue before i bought the computer, I would have gone with a different laptop entirely. It's quite a bummer.
