    error in downloading repositories indexes

i'm having a problem in downloading the repository indexes.its giving me the following error.

""Could not download all repository indexes
The repository may no longer be available or could not be contacted because of network problems. If available an older version of the failed index will be used. Otherwise the repository will be ignored. Check your network connection and ensure the repository address in the preferences is correct.

Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/n-muench/vl...rce/Sources.gz 404 Not Found
Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/n-muench/vl...86/Packages.gz 404 Not Found
Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.""

Though its giving a msg saying check ur network connection,my net connection is fine.
Can anyone please suggest me a solution....

Re: error in downloading repositories indexes

    pls post ur sources.list:

    Code:
    gksu cat /etc/apt/sources.list

    edit: Try this first:
If you have Synaptic Package Manager, Adept Package Manager, Update Manager, or Add/Remove open, close it. Run next commands:

    Code:
    sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/lock
    Code:
    sudo apt-get clean
    Code:
    sudo apt-get autoclean
    Code:
    sudo apt-get update
