    Installing ubuntu 10.10 thru proxy

I want to install ubuntu 10.10 with updates and third-party software but the problem is that I use my university’s internet which acquires proxy and authentication so, is there any way to do that?

    Somebody help me please.

    thanks in advance.

In this case I would say, install it with out the updates, and you can do the update later. And if you are installing Ubuntu 10.10 third party plug ins like mp3 codec's don't need Internet to be installed the are on the CD. If you want them to be installed all you have to do is check the box that says 'Install Third Party.....' and proceed with the installation.

In the case a distribution update , example: 10.04 to 10.04.1 the updates are included with the downloaded ISO . Other updates are not and will have to be installed post installation.
