    Gnome 3 Query

    Hi There,

I'm wondering if there's any known way to keep the background of gnome 3 as the 'activities' menu?

Difficult to explain what I mean, so i've attached a screenshot.

    Any advice appreciated

The background of the desktop is used as the background of the activities menu (only a bit darker). I don't really understand your question, even not with your screenshot.

    Re: Gnome 3 Query

    Thanks for your reply.

For example, With the Netbook Remix edition of Ubuntu, The launcher was the bottom window.

Similarly to UNR, is there any way to use the Activities menu as the bottom window?

    Hope this makes more sense

    Thanks

    Re: Gnome 3 Query

    Ok, I get it.

I don't believe someone has done this. It is possible, if you change a lot of JavaScript and CSS code.

But you can install launchers on the base screen like these: http://www.webupd8.org/2011/08/dockb...-autohide.html , http://www.webupd8.org/2011/07/cool-...-unity-2d.html
