10.04 loading screen prolbem after nvidia drivers

Hi.After installing nvidia drivers for my graphics card the boot and the shutdown screen have changed to a "text" mode.I ve tried different versions of nvidia drivers but he problem still remains.I also tried uninstalling them to figure out that the drivers are responsible for this problem,in which case i was proven right.Any ideas?

I have the same problem with Ubuntu 10.10 and Mint 10, but I don't know how to fix it either.

I believe this is down to Plymouth, and issues with proprietary drivers; have a look here.
