Boot from flash drive no longer boots to X environment login screen loop
I was running xubuntu from a flash drive. Worked great. Suddenly upon boot I am asked for login user id and pswd. I enter "ubuntu" leave password blank, screen flashes and the log in screen reappears. I get the same grub screen at start up. All seems to boot fine.
Previously there was no log in screen at all.
As an option I can select to boot to xterm and that seems to work.
I figured out a way to mount my casper-rw file as a directory. I pulled all my data off the flash drive.
I want to fix the flash drive. Is there a way? This drive is all set up so nice....I don't want to have to start all over.
I created the flashdrive using pendrivelinux.com. I'm using xubuntu 10.04. I use it on numerous computers
