10.10 dvb TV card resource busy

Hi, since moving on to 10.10 ive been having problems with my HVR-1200 digital tv card. Im finding when you do a channel scan after the first few frequencies it starts to fail and then eventually stops. If you try to then re-run the scan it will come up with resource is busy. It will detect a few channels, however Mythtv doesn't work at all - I have managed to generate a full scan through the latest PPA of Me-TV.

Part of the problem atleast with Me-TV is if you swap channels more than 2 or 3 times then the card once again becomes unavailable and you have to reboot.

Ive just run a "scan", after a minute it fails and ive had to close the terminal, if I then run the following it comes up with:

    #fuser -v /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0
    james@james-desktop:~$ fuser -v /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0
                         USER PID ACCESS COMMAND
                         james 2357 F.... scan
Any ideas, it was working fine in 10.04 - im using the firmware drivers from the wiki.

    Best Regards

Have you found a solution to this problem? I have something very similar happening.

the only solution ive found so far is to use another kernal (2.6.35-24-generic), you can find more on it here:

Its really annoying this hasn't been fixed
