    Updates not authenticated

    Hi,

Yesterday I was running update manage and I got a message that said that some updates were not authenticated and advised me to cancel updating (which I did).

I wanted to reproduce the error and went back into update manager and this time the updates just ran straight through.

Hmmm...not sure what to make of this - is there any way to check that the stuff I have on my system is all in line with what should be there on the main ubuntu repository (I'm worried I might have installed something nasty)?

I've only got http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu and "download from server for the United Kingdom" specified as repositories.

    Cheers,

    Ewan

Should be fine. Sometimes it'll throw an error if it can't find a file when trying to update the list of packages in the repos.
