BCM4312 card detects networks...but won't connect even though I enter the password...

    Hi,

I have a Broadcom BCM4312 wireless card (yes, one of THOSE awful things...) and though the laptop now detects networks, whenever I enter the password that allows the card to connect to the internet the network icon continues to "search" and the "Please enter password"-style message pops up again. Can anyone help me with this one? I've worked hard to get the card to even detect the networks and this is IRRITATING me so much!

    Thanks in advance,
    Barry

If your router has a complex ssid, simplify it. One word, all lower-case.

If that fails, click on the box to display the password as you enter it.
