The Message of the day text is displayed when you log on. It useally imcludes some system info and where to log on for more docs/info. The test is generated as you log on and is pulled from /etc/motd. In Debian systems /etc/motd is a link to /var/run/motd. I recently upgraded a system from 9.10 to 10.04.1LTS. I've done this eight or ten time with other servers, but this time when I logged on I got Welcome to Ubuntu! * Documentation: https://help.ubuntu.com/ -bash: [: too many arguments -bash: [: too many arguments -bash: [: too many arguments -bash: [: too many arguments -bash: [: too many arguments -bash: [: too many arguments I know that this text is generated from a script somewhere... I ran acrossed it in my browsing several years back. Now I can't remember where it is. Can someone point me to that script file so I can fix it?
