Hardware Spec Question

Hi guys,

I am looking for a server with some very specific specifications, and I'm hoping I can get some suggestions here.

4 Hotplug Sata HDD slots.
Raid 5 capable on 3 HDD with 1 as spare.
1 U Rackmount
Lights Out Management
Gigabit NIC
1.8GHz+ Processor
4 GB+ RAM

HP Hardware preferred but not a deal-breaker.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

I was asking for advice on hardware to run Ubuntu server, don't see a problem asking for feedback.

How about the Dell PowerEdge R610 or 410 lines? If HP is preferred and 1U, you're not going to get anything different from the DL320 or DL360 lines at a decent price. If you really want to buy a server, you'll want to save up the extra few hundred dollars to add a second processor, and run more than 4GB of RAM.

I couldn't justify spending a few thousand dollars with the minimum hardware specs you mentioned previously. In my opinion, either option it out fairly well, or save a boatload of money and just build a desktop that you put on a shelf in your rack and take up 4U of space.
