I installed wicd instead of network-manager. Сan't understand what the problem is. Will be glad if you help me to solve this problem.

I can't understand the problem either. Exactly whats wrong? It seems like you are getting an IP address and you are both receiving and transmitting data.

    Code:
    sudo dhclient eth0
ping [the IP of your router/gateway]
What? I'm not allowed to say fsck? Then how is i supposed to help people fix their filesystems?

Check the cable. What is in the other end of it?

Re: maverick nVidia MCP61 Lan driver problem

I don't think that this is due to the cable as I switch the cable from one computer to another, on the other computer installed lucid and the network is operating normally. Although I found an old bug:
    https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8642
Maybe all because of this bug, but bug's reported date is 2007-06-16

Re: maverick nVidia MCP61 Lan driver problem

Try out ethtool and mii-tool to force specific speed settings. If there really is a bug, it's probably easier to get a PCI card.
