building web page for high school mathematics

I teach mathematics at high school, so far in the same old fashion way: i use the white board, they get homework (page x ex. y), few do it, few copy, few forget, few didn't hear.... nothing has changed since I was doing the same.

I would like to build a web site, in which they could practice, do homework and exams to. This requires interaction (expected result vs actual), registration etc.

1- What is the best tool to use to build such web site?
2- What is the best tool to make drawings for such task?
3- Is there an easy way to create tasks-generator?

And above all - is there already something like that out there?

Have a look at Moodle, not used it personally but hear it is good. Not as straightforward as setting up a webpage initially but more of a whole school solution.

Thanks. I looked - and it looks nice.

But I don't need whole school solution, Mainly because most schools have their own solution.

I am looking for a limited scope - simple, easy to work with utility.

i don;t think Google apps let me design interactive web page.
What is the best alternative here for applications like dreamweaver/coffeecup?

I would recommend Moodle. It is very scalable. There are some places that will host you for free too. Check out Moodle.org forums. I've run a small Moodle for 4 years for my classes. It does everything you would want and has a very large user base and not hard to use at all.

The only hard bits are already done for you if you don't have to figure out how to install.

I'm a middle school math teacher--and I'd highly recommend moodle. It will do pretty much all you are asking from it, and much more--and can be scaled down to just your classes. If you wanted more of a "Social Network", you could use Edmodo as well. But Moodle sounds like the ticket here.
