Wireless worked by default, then stopped

    Hello,

Wireless was working when I installed ubuntu 10.10 on my dell. I had a list of available wireless connections and was able to choose one and get online.

Then a message showed up that it could be working more efficiently if it used a proprietary driver so I accepted the install. Install failed and now no available wireless networks show up.

Is there a way to perhaps restore the wireless driver ubuntu was using by default? That was working perfectly fine for me.

    Thanks in advance

Turned out to be easier than I thought...

I plugged in a wired connection. Went to System -> Addition drivers and activated the sta driver.
