I was looking on the website http://www.indiedb.com/ for a free game or 3 to d/l & enjoy. I found this game called First Fantasy - A Satirical Role Playing Game or http://cynicaldiscourse.***********/first-fantasy.html I do not know if this will install & play on Ubuntu 10.10 the download file is a .rar

Has anyone played this? Is it easy to install and run on Ubuntu? How can I install it do I need to use wineHQ?

Wine or V-Box will be needed and it is a unzip and play game, you will not know if or how it will work until you try it.

install some version of rar, you might find it in the software centre, but I always use synaptic package manager to install this.

It's a RPG Maker VX game; make sure you have the correct run-time needed to run RPG Maker games. You can find the run-time on the official website. I'm having trouble accessing it, but make sure you download the VX one specifically.

It won't run on Linux, so Virtual Box,Wine, or something similar is probably your only option.
