(I'm not sure if this is the best place for this, but I hope so.)

With a deal of trepident diffidence, I have created and put online a "how-to" for folk wanting to do a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.10, and I am asking here for comments and critiques, which can be addressed either to the email address on the pages (at the bottom), to here, or both.

The docs start from pre-install considerations and work on through the install and a (lengthy) set of post-install additions and tunings, to maintenance, all in quite some step-by-step detail.

I am not, and do not pretend to be, an Ubuntu guru, but this is the distilled experience of at least three recent installs, on varying hardware, of 10.10. I am dearly hoping that it does not include any embarrassing follies, and that is why I solicit whatever help anyone cares to provide.
