Question Where Does Minecraft Store Save Files? [ubuntu 10.10]

I downloaded an old save that i used when I used to use windows, i switched over to ubuntu and i want to use it again, but i have no clue where Minecraft stores its saves, i know in windows it was the "appdata" folder. Could anyone help me out on this one?

Set Nautilus to show hidden files and folders, and you will probably be able to find where it saves its files. Play a game, then look for the most recently changed folders or files in your /home.

with a risk of telling the exact same thing more or less..

but more specific, saves can be found in you homefolder under .minecraft/saves

press ctrl+h in Nautilus to make it visible.

My world folder and server settings are in my home directory, that is for me /home/burton
My mincraft jar is in /home/burton/Documents though so it doesn't matter where that is. Let me know if it doesn't work, I think it should be the same save data for windows and linux but not 100%
