    live cd

    generally speaking how much space as in how many gigs/megs are available on a live cd running on your system

    Depends on how much RAM you have. A liveCD cannot be used as a permanent operating system, it's transient. You can save files to your hard drives, but any software installations will be lost once you restart the PC.
