We tried to burn an audio cd with the default burner in Ubuntu, but we can only play the cd on the computer. Any ideas as to what we missed? ( I was not in front of the computer, another user was, but I think they used Audio CD Extractor )

it depends on the file type that was burned.

you must understand the formats and what the player needs for the audio cd to work.
the cd plays on the computer because the format may be in ogg vorbis.
so the system may require ubuntu-restricted-extras installed and the format of the audio files converted.
winff will convert your audio files to whatever format.

did you try gnome brasero audio setting?
I don't know what was tried the other day. But, I will try that when I get some blanks cd...lol
I also now have k3b and that works with the video. So, I am sure that will work with the audio as well.
