Rsync failure with Back In Time

Back In Time has ALWAYS been very spotty for me, but now it's simply stopped backing up all together. I'm using 1.0.4 on 10.10, and no matter whether I try regular user or root, I keep getting the same error message:

[E] Error: rsync: writefd_unbuffered failed to write 4 bytes to socket [sender]: Broken pipe (32)
[E] Failed to take snapshot 12/19/2010 19:11:25 !!!

How can I fix this?

... but Back in Time worked for me this morning. So it wasn't as bad for me as for the original poster.
