When I came to know Linux several years ago, someone told me that Linux is secure than Windows system. Hackers have no interest in this Operating System.

In general speaking, Linux is more secure than Windows system. However, if you do not update you system and/or application softwares when there are updates available, your Linux is exploitable no matter how strong your password is. Root account can be obtained at ease.

You, do not believe me? Please see this link and you will wonder why update frequency on Linux distro and application softwares are so important.

Don't be the next victim in the internet!
