First of all I would like to say that I have searched and gone through all of the "how to's" that I have found on the subject. But, I can not seem to get my wireless card working on my old Acer laptop. Here are the details:
Acer 1414wlci
Just installed Ubuntu 10.10
IPN2220 Wireless card
Once I finished installing Ubuntu I started the PC and noticed there is no option to connect to a wireless network. Upon searching (here and on google) I found that the wireless card is not supported by Ubuntu. So, I downloaded ndiswrapper and the windows driver for the card. I followed the steps listed here https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wi...er/Ndiswrapper and got through step 3.5 OK. But, when I reboot there is still no options for a wireless network. Did I miss something? Is there something I can copy and paste here to offer better insight into what I may have missed?
