    Can't read sensors

I just installed a fresh Ubuntu 10.4 LTS server. After installing lm-sensors, sensors-detect reports two sensors:

    # sensors-detect revision 5818 (2010-01-18 17:22:07 +0100)
    # System: To Be Filled By O.E.M. To Be Filled By O.E.M.
    # Board: To be filled by O.E.M. To be filled by O.E.M.
This program will help you determine which kernel modules you need
to load to use lm_sensors most effectively. It is generally safe
and recommended to accept the default answers to all questions,
unless you know what you're doing.
Some south bridges, CPUs or memory controllers contain embedded sensors.
Do you want to scan for them? This is totally safe. (YES/no): yes
    Silicon Integrated Systems SIS5595... No
    VIA VT82C686 Integrated Sensors... No
    VIA VT8231 Integrated Sensors... No
    AMD K8 thermal sensors... No
AMD Family 10h thermal sensors... No
AMD Family 11h thermal sensors... No
Intel Core family thermal sensor... No
    Intel Atom thermal sensor... Success!
        (driver `coretemp')
Intel AMB FB-DIMM thermal sensor... No
    VIA C7 thermal sensor... No
    VIA Nano thermal sensor... No
Some Super I/O chips contain embedded sensors. We have to write to
standard I/O ports to probe them. This is usually safe.
Do you want to scan for Super I/O sensors? (YES/no): yes
    Probing for Super-I/O at 0x2e/0x2f
    Trying family `National Semiconductor'... No
    Trying family `SMSC'... Yes
Found `SMSC SCH3114 Super IO' Success!
        (address 0xa00, driver `dme1737')

    Trying family `SMSC'... No
    Trying family `VIA/Winbond/Nuvoton/Fintek'... No
    Trying family `ITE'... No
The found SuperIO module is indeed correct; the Users Manual of the board confirms the findings by sensors-detect.

I had it add the found sensors to /etc/modules:
    # Generated by sensors-detect on Thu Dec 2 10:47:35 2010
    # Chip drivers
after a reboot, sensors produces following output:

    Adapter: ISA adapter
    Core 0: +34.0°C (crit = +100.0°C)
The coretemp output is working ok, but the SuperIO does not work. Ok, checked if modules are loaded and found out that the dme1737 module isn't loaded.

A manual load gives following error:
    # modprobe dme1737
FATAL: Error inserting dme1737 (/lib/modules/2.6.32-26-generic-pae/kernel/drivers/hwmon/dme1737.ko): Device or resource busy
Now, thats where my linux-skills end.
How can I get that thing working? Can I find out if some other driver is blocking the device?

    Re: Can't read sensors

    I forgot to mention:

The Computer is an Atom N450 based embedded computer with an ICH8M chipset. It should be quite similar to an average Netbook.
