empathy video chat problem

Im using ubuntu 10.10, and having a problem with empathy trying to use the video chat with a computer running windows 7 and msn. I know the cameras on both computers are fine, the problem that im having is that both feeds wont work at the same time. If they invite me to video chat i can see their stream, but they cant see mine. And vice versa if I invite. Im sure there has to be a fairly simple solution for this. Any takers???

I'm bumping this thread (although I think it may be in the the wrong category) as I'm having exactly this same problem between empathy on 10.10, via Gtalk, to a friend of mine on his MacBook (I believe he uses the web interface)

Does anybody know what the problem may be?

Could a Moderator maybe move this Thread to the General Support Category, just to be correct

I have this problem with both Empathy and Pidgin video chat using my Google account. The only reliable way I have found to video chat is through the browser with my Gmail chat open. Video is crisp and smooth. This has been a problem for, at least, the last couple of releases.
