    Evolution - SMTP authentication

    Hi

My SMTP server requires authentication, and when I enter the Account Editor, Sending Email tab, I can set the Authentication to "Login" and enter the Username, but there is not an option to enter the password.

Incidentally, the SMTP authentication Username and Password that I need to enter is not the same as my email Username and password.

    Once again, many thanks.

Below the field where you entered your username, is there a checkbox for Remember password. If you check it and send an email the system will prompt you for a password and then remember it.

If it's a laptop, I suggest you don't use "remember". So, when you lose it, people can't send mail as you.
