Same here. The solution might be to reinstall libraries compiled with openssl. I hope they will come up with a easier solution...

So I guess I have to wait
Yep, mine won't mount. It is a jailbroken 3G with 4.2.1.
It gives me an error, it says "Unable to mount iPhone - DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)"
So it's DBus related...
Also, I checked out libimobiledevice's place, they SAY they have support for 4.2.1 devices with their 1.0.3 release, but I used their PPA to get that version and it did nothing. However, the Maverick repo version of libimobiledevice is 1.0.1, so that may be something.
Poof.
Oh whoops, sorry, it seems I've forgotten how to read. I would compile it, but I'm away from my machine with all the dev stuff on it, so I'll do it later. Might make a deb or something and put it up here if no one beats me to it.
E: YAAAAY! I found a pre-compiled 1.0.4 for SuSE whilst Googling around. I extracted the RPM, and all that was in it was a lib and a symlink to the lib. I moved them both to /usr/lib/, renamed my old libimobiledevice with a .old extension, and slip-bam-jam it works. Attached it what I used.
Edit: This is moot now. 1.0.4 is now in the repos.

Well, do you know how to move files around with the terminal? Extract the zip up there and change the directory to the extracted archive's folder in terminal (cd ~/Downloads/libimobiledevice-1.0.4/, presumably). Then move both files to /usr/lib as root (sudo mv * /usr/lib/), and rename the old lib so it's not unintentionally used, also as root (sudo mv /usr/lib/libimobiledevice.so.1.0.3 /usr/lib/libimobiledevice.so.1.0.3.old), and that's it, no reboot or anything.
Edit: This is now moot. 1.0.4 is now in the repos.
