Very new to Ubuntu. My virgin 10.10 install has gone extremely smoothly. I'm now trying to get Subclipse to be able to access SVN repositories that live on an XP SP3 system. The problem appears to be name server related. I can ping (by ip address) in both directions, both can get out to the internet, and I can mount XP file systems remotely from my Ubuntu box. I get unknown hostname errors when I ping by hostname. I'm using a Dlink wireless router (but have wired connections to it from both boxes) that I believe is providing both DNS and DHCP services.

Any suggestions? Thanks!
