Problem with the mouse

Hi,
I just installed Ubuntu 11.04 64 bit and I'm experiencing some strange problems with the mouse.

I can move the pointer with no problems but strange things happen when I click on icons or bars to move windows. The clicking doesn't always work.

Using the keyboard I managed to open the mouse configuration menu and I noticed that the click worked on the bulb (the one to help you set the speed for double clicking). After clicking on it, if I moved the mouse out of its focus and clicked somewhere else the bulb turned on as if I was clicking on it.

I tried using other mouses, but it's the same.

Can you help me? What can I do to find out the problem?

It seems I solved the whole issue installing Ubuntu 32 bit.
