want to do kubuntu to ubuntu

i have kubuntu and ubuntu on my laptop but i am giving that one away and want to get rid of kubuntu and just have ubuntu on the laptop. i got kubuntu by using the terminal. how can i get rid of kubuntu. i have ubbuntu on a memory stick if i have to start all over i do not mind.

If you used the metapackage (kubuntu-desktop?) to install from Ubuntu, you can either remove it from a terminal or Synaptic. However, some apps that get pulled into the system may not get removed when you remove that package. If you want a clean install of just the Ubuntu package without any KDE left behind, a new install is probably easiest.
