Re: Problem with alsa-driver-linuxant on Maverick

What I discovered is that if you use Synaptic to remove alsa-linuxant completely and then reinstall all your linux kernel modules, things go back to the before alsa-linuxant state. That doesn't help your device, in my case speakers, but at least the errors go away. Maybe a future kernel will fix things.

Re: Problem with alsa-driver-linuxant on Maverick

The source for the alsa-linuxant driver, www.linuxant.com, implies that there needs to be an exact match between the kernel on the destination machine, and the alsa-driver-linuxant package installed. This seems likely to be the source of woe here. The latest driver is for kernel 2.6.31-17. Rolling back the kernel to an earlier version and reinstalling alsa-driver-linuxant may provide the fix?

Re: Problem with alsa-driver-linuxant on Maverick

I fixed same problim. this way:

    1. install "alsa-driver-linuxant_1.0.23.1_all.deb" again (cuse i removed '/usr/lib/alsa-driver-linuxant' directory )

    2.
    Code:
    cd /usr/lib/alsa-driver-linuxant
    $sudo make uninstall
(I had a error in this commadn)

    3. Goto System >> Administration >> Synaptic Package Manager
    4. Search "linuxant"
    5. mark all founded and right click and choose:
    6.
    Code:
    Mark for Compelet remove
    7. Apply

    Worked like charm

Re: Problem with alsa-driver-linuxant on Maverick

Need to download latest ALSA and patch it, then install it.

I'd like to create a DEB, but I can't get it to patch properly - I am working on it.
