    GFX Issues HP tx2z-1000 CTO

    Hi everyone,

I have an HP TouchSmart tx2z-1000 CTO that I recently installed Ubuntu Netbook 10.10 on it. Everything is running spectacularly, except one minor graphics issue. On the Unity launcher, all of the icons have 4 small, yellow, vertical lines that run about a third of the way down the icon. This appears to only occur on the Unity icons. I believe that my laptop has an ATI Radeon HD 3200 GFX card. I attempted to install the additional drivers for my card that Ubuntu recommended, but after restart all of my windows began stuttering and the screen repeatedly flashed until I disabled the driver. Now I am using the default driver and have the problem with the lines. I will attach a screenshot so you can see for yourself. If anyone has any advice, I'd really appreciate it.

    Thank you

Besides the problems I am having (described on this post http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1737103) I also ran into the same problem you are having, reason why I had to go desktop version of linux ubuntu 10.10. The drivers provided by ATI do not work properly.
