    Audacity output levels

Can someone tell me how to output a vinyl conversion to a .wav file so the output level of all the .wav files are about the same level.

    Thanks

Go to Effect>Normalize, the default setting should be OK.

If normalize doesn't work well enough for you, then you can go to Effect>Compressor.

In my experience it can raise the overall volume more than just normalize, especially if there are a few loud clicks/pops in the recording. Compression can also raise the level of the quieter parts up, evening out the whole recording, so I'm not a big fan of it if it's not necessary.
