    If you look at my Hard drive in gparted you will see I have Win7 in sda2, Ubuntu 10.10 on sda5, and sda4 is for my data files for both win7 and Ubuntu.

    As you can see it is well balanced. This is my Laptop. I also have a server running Ubuntu 10.04 only and a desktop running XP and Ubuntu 10.10. All this systems are 32 bit. I also have a extra hard drive for my laptop running Win7 and Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit, but I only use it for testing.
    The only time anyone is in windows is when the grandkids come over, or I am watching a movie on Netflix.
    Information on my Main laptop. Information on my small laptop Dell 11 3000
    Using a Asus 3632QM laptop with 8gig RAM, 250 SSD.
    Machine Registered 366271, 366273, 366275.
    Registered Ubuntu user number 18630. Registered Linux user number 458093.

    Re: How many of you still have Windows/Mac installed?

    My primary machines are all Apple hardware; I keep a dual-boot on my desktop of Win7 and OS X, and within OS X I can use Parallels to virtualize Ubuntu or Win7 with full 3D support.

    On my laptop I dual-boot OS X and Ubuntu because I'm always curious of when battery life of the two OS'es will be comparable, and if any of the latest and greatest changes have helped.

    I don't see a big reason to purge myself of any OS. My preference for my day-to-day OS is somewhere between OS X and Ubuntu depending on the circumstances, but I don't see myself outlawing any OS on my desktop (or refusing to pay for a license of the next release). What can I say, I'm a nerd

    I have Ubuntu installed on every computer in my house (and I have a fair number of machines). I only have one Windows partition (Win 7), and I only use it for testing software (I am a software developer).

    I have never run MacOS, and I never plan to.

    Agreed JDong.

    I currently am running windows vista/ubuntu lucid dual boot. I also, at times run WindowsXP/Windows 7/Windows 2003SRV/debian-not ubuntu but Debian in VM's and I have been TRYING to find a way to virtualize OS X on my PC in either winblows or linux idc which one. I just want to play with it a bit, not reason enough to buy another machine...sigh...

    LOL

    Have MAC OSX.6 installed still on my Macbook only because I need to use Pro-Tools for work and haven't figured out how to use Digidesign Hardware with Linux reliably yet!

    Same, I have only used Mac OS X when I was in HS. I hated it, plus we used that stupid Pro, One button Mouse.

    Currently just Ubuntu, but I do have Windows 7 in a virtual machine for school and stuff.

    Occasionally I'll dual boot a machine with a Linux Distro and Windows, but that's mostly for gaming which I am satisfied to do on Ubuntu right now.

    I am OS agnostic, I use what I have to use to get a job done. That is what an OS is for. No passion, no drama.

    Here is the breakdown of my current machines...

    Macbook Pro = OSX
    iMac = OSX , Win 7 in Boot camp , Ubuntu 10.10 in VM ware
    Mac Pro = OSX
    Test Machine 1 = Ubuntu 10.10 , Suse 10, Fedora 11.
    Test Machine 2 = Win 7 , Win Xp.
    iPad =IOS

    Server = Ubuntu Server

    It seems that more people dual-boot that I imagined. I haven't thought of ridding vista's partition and just using it in a Virtual Machine inside Ubuntu, but for those who bought their machines pre-installed with Windows, that seems to be out of the question.
