Nice work. If it hasn't been mentioned yet, may I suggest

    1. Let the theme dictate the color of Files, Radio, Playlist, Collections. Main reason I couldn't stand amarok and removed it immediately. Looked horrible...yeah so skins..(yuk)..makes a lot more sense to use gtk theme control, and a lot easier for a unified desktop.

2.Make it default for the tabs to be on top, adding an option to put them elsewhere. Themes that do not have tabs other than the top will look bad, and that's a lot of them. Not that they should be that way, but they are.

Just like previously posted, those libraris couldnt be find:
    gstreamer 0.10, gstreamer0.10-plugins-good
And without them, I get this:

    aytackubilay@aytackubilay:/etc/apt$ sudo dpkg -i /home/aytackubilay/Desktop/exaile_0.2b2_i386.deb
    Selecting previously deselected package exaile.
(Reading database ... 91261 files and directories currently installed.)
    Unpacking exaile (from .../Desktop/exaile_0.2b2_i386.deb) ...
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of exaile:
    exaile depends on libpango1.0-0 (>= 1.12.3); however:
Version of libpango1.0-0 on system is 1.12.2-0ubuntu3.
    exaile depends on gstreamer0.10-plugins-good; however:
    Package gstreamer0.10-plugins-good is not installed.
    dpkg: error processing exaile (--install):

Re: New music player - Exaile!

I'm using Exaile, and I think it's excellent for such a new program. I think the version I'm using is quite old, so I won't give my suggestions in case they've already been implemented

Except... if you could add the ability to transfer songs to HDD MP3 players, that would be much appreciated
I try to treat the cause, not the symptom. I avoid the terminal in instructions, unless it's easier or necessary. My instructions will work within the Ubuntu system, instead of breaking or subverting it. Those are the three guarantees to the helpee.

oops, no -mine is badger-. I tried to install and actually installed some of the packages necessary using dapper repositories. But when it came to last 2 ones here I mentioned -libgstreamer 0.10 and the good one - it couldn't find them somehow. Then I added some additional repositories. Then the result was just amazing It listed nearly the whole dapper as prerequisite.

I thinks there are no other ways but to install dapper for me.

I try to use it but keep getting this error:

Installation went fine and everything looks OK, so what is the issue

This looks GREAT, i love Amarok but I stopped using KDE because I thought GNOME was much more user friendly and clean looking and I'm trying to get my entire house to switch over to ubuntu, i have three of four loving linux, but my step dad is one of those "anything free can't be as good" idiot FOSS haters, I'll actually install it once i can get my house networked, right now the windows pc has to be the one on the internet cuz of him, but seriously it looks great, quite clean and uncluttered. NICELY DONE! and i can't wait to see more
Love running state of the art for free rather than a bad kde copy for hundreds, ONCE YOU GO PENGUIN NEVER WINDOWS AGAIN!

Just wanted to say great job. I've been looking for a good music prog (I don't really like xmms too much, and amarok would never work right on my system (wouldn't add music from my music directory, some of the left side menus would cover the main window, etc), and your program installed flawlessly and works! The only problem I have is that it doesn't find all my music. Not sure as to why, and not sure which ones it didn't find. other than that, flawless! Thanks for giving me hope to finding a good player!
