Hello world.
(please keep in mind that this is my first post)

I had a lot of trouble trying to get znes on Ubuntu, all I wanted to do was re-live the glory days when an Snes was your best friend. But, after googling for hours, I couldn't find out how. But eventually, I found one small post in a forum far, far away...

Now that thats out of the way, here is the simplest way to install Znes (a Snes emulator) to Ubuntu 10.04.

You should first start out by opening KPackageKit from Applications>System Tools>KPackageKit
In the search bar, type snes. Click the Down arrow by Emulator Of The Super Nintendo Entertainment System (NOT THE ONE WITH "(TM)" BY IT). then click Apply. Wait for a window to pop up, it will ask for your administrative password, enter it and click Authenticate. It should now begin installing Znes.

It is under Applications>Games>ZNES

All you need now are Roms (Snes game files). They are all over the Internet but I recommend http://www.doperoms.com/roms/Super_Nintendo_Snes.html because it is the easiest to use.

If you are like me and want all 763 licensed games in one download, download them from here:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=I4PHYIZ6
(I uploaded them myself)
The password is ubuntuforums

Also, Znes has a cheat function, it supports Game Genie codes, PAR codes, and GF codes, but I reccomend Game Genie because it is the easiest to use. You can get Game Genie codes here:http://www.gamegenie.com/cheats/game...nes/index.html
If for some reason you want PAR or GF codes, you are on your own.

*NOTE: Try pluging in an Xbox 360 WIRED controller, go to input and configure it *

*NOTE: I know it is pretty simple to do, my goal was just to make a post that gives you everything you would want from Znes on Ubuntu*
