    Did you get this fixed?

I have the same problem. By holding SHIFT during boot to bring up the Grub menu, editing and adding 'nomodeset' to the grub line I can get the system to boot.

Maverick is very very unstable with nvidia drivers installed (system completely freezes playing a video in Totem - or even just playing an mp3 in Totem with visualisation on).

I've tried both the 260 and 253 drivers.

My GPU is a GeForce 210.
