    help need running really badly for my friend thats joining the army

    1)10.04
    2)AlienWare 51 - N
    3)M5500
    4)Prob = Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG

    the wireless is not working at all, it wont enable it, or anything, its saying its disabled

    You may want to check that what is causing the wrong functionality being assigned to the button.

    Start acpi-listen and press the button.
    It will give some code. Then look for it in /etc/acpi/events, what that code is assigned to
    When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth !!

    well believe it or not i just tryed acpi-listen, and its doing nothing........, at all..it acts like nothing is happening
