Talking Sharing PC's internet connection to Mobile Device

Hi, I'd like to share my PC's (Ubuntu 10.04) internet connection to my WM5 device. I have installed already all needed plugins for syncing my phone with Evo, etc. I'm looking for some simple solution if there's any. The internet is from LAN. The phone is connected to the PC via USB cable.

    Thanks.

I am no phone expert but I will give it a go. The way I have connected my android phone is install an application like proxiod and then download the android sdk and followed these directions.

I had no problems getting it to work on Ubuntu.

Is WM5 a window mobile device of some sort?

If your phone is a windows mobile device and you have wireless on your computer, You may want to have a look at pdanet. I played with that on android and an iphone. It cost about 30 bucks but allows you to set your phone up as a wifi access point, and connect to it as if it was a wireless router.

Well what i want to do is not to use the PDA's connection om my computer, but to use the computers internet connection on my PDA. Im windows, you plug in the device and you can use the internet connection on your device instantly. But i want to do this on Ubuntu.

I use my HTC with ubuntu without any problems, I just go to Internet Sharing on the phone with the USB connected and I'm online on my laptop although I have WM6 I think it's the same with WM5.

If you want to do it the other way around try using sync.

Read this please. I want to use the PC's internet connection on the phone, not the phone's on my PC.

So, after installing U 10.10 its really simple. Im going to provide a simple who-to.

DOnt download anything just click on network settings, and create a new connection. Then just wait till its up and you can connect any wifi capable device.
