Re: HOWTO: Remove Older Kernels via GUI

I just do it the CLI way with terminal. I keep track of what kernels are installed on a text file and keep the last 2 kernels.

Here is my text file for Quantal Quetzel 12.10:
    sudo apt-get purge linux-headers-3.5.0-6 linux-image-3.5.0-6-generic linux-headers-3.5.0-6-generic linux-image-extra-3.5.0-6-generic - deleted.
    sudo apt-get purge linux-headers-3.5.0-13 linux-image-3.5.0-13-generic linux-headers-3.5.0-13-generic linux-image-extra-3.5.0-13-generic - deleted.
    sudo apt-get purge linux-headers-3.5.0-14 linux-image-3.5.0-14-generic linux-headers-3.5.0-14-generic linux-image-extra-3.5.0-14-generic - deleted.
    sudo apt-get purge linux-headers-3.5.0-15 linux-image-3.5.0-15-generic linux-headers-3.5.0-15-generic linux-image-extra-3.5.0-15-generic - deleted.
    sudo apt-get purge linux-headers-3.5.0-16 linux-image-3.5.0-16-generic linux-headers-3.5.0-16-generic linux-image-extra-3.5.0-16-generic
    sudo apt-get purge linux-headers-3.5.0-17 linux-image-3.5.0-17-generic linux-headers-3.5.0-17-generic linux-image-extra-3.5.0-17-generic
I have a different one for each Ubuntu and each Ubuntu version sometimes has different files that make up the kernel.

Here is the one for Lucid:
    sudo apt-get purge linux-headers-2.6.32-29 linux-headers-2.6.32-29-generic linux-image-2.6.32-29-generic - deleted

PS: I didn't see who the author was. Didn't mean to butt in Drs305! Just thought I'd mention my method.
