I been trying to update my version of Kicad to the latest one in the PPA/Launchpad repo's, namely the BZR_2356 version.

But this is what happens. The update seems to go fine, it even list the newer version in Synaptic, but when i run Kicad it's still says in the
window title it's the old version, BZR_23xx_testing. Also In the "About' tab under the 'Help" label.
I'm also still getting an old error message when I run CVPCB, "Supports.mod not found in library path".

I tried re-installing with same results.
Shouldn't the newer version have the correct version number in the window title?
It's like it's downloading and installing the same old version even though it list's the new version is installed.

I'm quite stumped on this, I'm considering un-installing the binary and installing from source.
