I like vlc very much. BUT ... I am fed up having, every time, to open up "extended settings", enabling the graphic equalizer and choosing a setting.
Is there any way I can change the default from "nothing" to "something".
Thanks for your help.

Tools -> Preferences -> all (or advanced) audio -> filters - enable the equalizer
Then expand the equalizer to pick which one
save
Thanks for your response but Tools>Preferences gives me the choice of
Interface
Audio
Video
Subtitles & OSD
Inputs & Codecs
and
Hotkeys
And Audio's choices are
General Audio
Output
and
Effects.
If "filters" is avaiiable there or anywhere, I certainly don't see it.
I can send screenshots if it would help ...
While i'm using the 1.2+ version should be about the same on what you have ...
see screensTools -> Preferences -> all (or advanced)...
Well, duh!!!!!
You're absolutely right. Thanks so very much, you've removed a major irritant.
As well as confirming the makings of a visual acuity problem
Cheers!
