I run a system with the following specs:
Acer Aspire 5672WLMi
Intel Core Duo T2300 1.66 GHz ( Dual-Core )
2 GB DDR II SDRAM
ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 128 MB
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
Lately when I boot into Ubuntu -- I keep my system fully updated -- I've been having an issue at the login screen where it tells me when I login that Power Management has stopped responding and offers me the option to wait, cancel, or logout anyway.
If I wait it just sits there. If I choose to logout anyway my computer seems to suddenly be subject to the same reboot issue that plagues my Windows install while doing 3D gaming, albeit not /quite/ as frequently.
I'm trying to figure out what might cause it to stop responding, and why my system boots up so slowly now, even though before it booted up quickly and without issue.
If I can provide any more details, I'd be glad to, but this is where I'm at. I haven't flashed my Bios recently, and until 10.04 my computer seemed to run just fine under Ubuntu.
Any ideas?
